Any restaurant/ bar/ café/ catering recruiter will tell you that "people are at the heart of our business." That's because they have to be. What is a food service business without people? But saying and doing are two different things. At Chop'd people really are the core of our business strategy. We recruit on attitude and talent, not knowledge or experience. We can teach you what you don't know. We can't teach character or ambition. We pay over the market rate. We work reasonable hours and have social and personal lives. We actively coach, train, develop, mentor, support, listen, learn, appraise and do our best to make good when we ourselves have failed, individually or as a company. We have a dedicated Talent Manager to represent you as an individual at a senior level, and help you resolve the small but important daily issues as well as work towards your bigger dreams, at Chop'd or beyond. We are all human. We all make mistakes. We always do our best to learn from them and put them as right as we can. We will do the same for you when you make mistakes. (If you don't, maybe you are not trying hard enough.) We will challenge, coax and help develop you, probably a bit faster than you think you are ready for, but with hindsight you will hopefully value and appreciate it. Hopefully you will be managing your own store, and your own team of up to 10 people, within 12 if not 6 months of joining. If so, you will be offered share options in the company, worth up to a year's salary tax free after 3 year's tenure. And one day you could even become Managing Director. Really. Why not?
